The Commercial Quote Specialist is responsible for preparing quotations for both standard equipment and specialized equipment found on “Bid & Spec” jobs, and other jobs as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and select construction open bid reports for quotation purposes and make take-offs from bid plans.
  • Obtain current costs of products not on the master system for use when submitting quotations
  • Submit completed bids in a timely manner
  • Maintain an orderly quotation file and record of jobs quoted
  • Receive calls and offer service or phone quotes to customers
  • Actively assist customers by recommending new products or suggesting alternatives
  • Regularly attend sales meetings and participate in educational opportunities
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or Supervisor

Qualifications

  • One year experience in related trade fields preferred
  • Plumbing and heating product knowledge preferred
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy of submitted bids
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers
  • Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s business system
  • Ability to be bonded as defined by First Supply Group’s fidelity bond insurance carrier
  • Satisfactory score on the Wonderlic Personnel Test and/or Caliper Assessment
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record which meets underwriting standards
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
  • Attendance on a regular and consistent basis
