The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring product availability by performing routine inventory checks, audits, and data entry. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies, assisting in inventory reconciliation processes, and working cross-functionally with other departments.

Starting pay range: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Perform all daily & weekly activities necessary to maintain an effective and accurate inventory (WLIT reporting, zero/short picks, out of balance reporting, review all stock adjustments, keep unavailable inventory at a manageable level, and assist with cycle counts).
• Responsible for all PORM activity and needed communications.
• Manage all damaged product claim submissions and support disposing of the product.
• Contact manufacturers for authorization to return non-stock & overstock items.
• File defective goods claim with reps or manufacturers when required.
• Follow-up with vendors or reps on return goods authorizations or credits not received in a timely manner.
• Work with management on picking and processing all consolidated vendor returns.
• Keep a close watch on returned goods in the warehouse that have not been processed, to maintain control of both the material and the paperwork.
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
• Communicate issues to shift supervisors and/or WH manager when pertinent to efficiencies in operations.
• Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
