The Waterworks Estimator is responsible for preparing project takeoffs and specification research for the waterworks division found on public and private jobs.

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities
• Ability to read waterworks and civil engineering plans; update specification file; identify and projecting costs for each elevation
• Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements
• Obtains bids from vendors and manufacturers by specifying materials
• Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Waterworks Department Manager

• 6+ months of construction or civil engineering estimating required
• 2-year Technical Degree preferred
• Strong understanding geometry and drafting
• Demonstrated proficiency t in Adobe Pro
• Ability to learn to read civil and mechanical plans
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
• Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
• Impeccable problem-solving skills
• Generalized plumbing and heating product knowledge
• Ability to pay attention to detail and ensure accuracy of submitted bids
• Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply LLC’s business system
